New agreement provides stability and additional protections for local governments, patrons and workers
Following months of negotiations with the Schwarzenegger Administration, leaders of the Pechanga Band of Luiseņo Indians last night signed an amended tribal-state compact. The amended compact will provide long-term certainty for Pechanga and its employees, generate substantial revenues for California's General Fund, and provide additional protections for patrons, local governments, and workers.
